This week in Nursery, we have been busy setting up a new vet’s surgery role play area.  The children have been finding out about the role of a vet and the other staff that work in the surgery.  They have enjoyed pretending to be receptionists, pet owners and vets.


The children in Mrs Carr’s class have been busy at Art Club. They made an impressive and vey realistic self portrait using collage materials. They also created a large piece of Art work to depict Autumn. They painted a tree, made leaf rubbings with wax crayons and added their own leaves.  Well done


This week, Year 4 have watched a short film as inspiration for their work in English. The children have loved watching ‘The  Dragon-Slayer’ which portrays the story of an encounter between a brave warrior- Tarragon- and a dragon. This week the children have been splitting into small groups for welcome time.  They have enjoyed completing the group message board each day.  This consists of counting how many children are in the group, discussing the weather and learning what day of the week it is.  Staff also tell the childr


Six members of Year 5 were lucky enough to spend the day at the new Baltic Campus of Gateshead College to take part in the final of the Boardroom Challenge, against seven other local schools. They presented their fundraising idea to a panel of local councillors, bank managers and two representatives
