Springing into Action

As we enjoy the change in the weather so the time has come to get busy in the garden. Whilst Reception children have been cooking up a storm in the mud kitchen, Year 2 and 3 have been getting some Jerusalem artichokes in the ground and setting up pots ready to plant seeds in the poly tunnel. Old dead plants have been pulled out and some new rockery plants put in. We want to bring on some herbs this year to plant around our ponds in the sensory garden and no doubt the children will choose some vegetables. Tomatoes and cucumbers have been really popular the last few years, anything that can be eaten off the plant always goes down well.

The Nature Principle: Forest School takes place in a woodland or natural wooded environment to support the development of a relationship between the learner and the natural world.
