The children and residents started putting last weeks garden plan into action today by potting up some seeds. First they went into the garden to collect some shale to put in the bottom of the pots for drainage. They then decorated their pots. We are testing out a new soil mix so it will be interesting to see the results. They planted sweet peas, some broad and runner beans and a variety of flowering plants. These have been left on the very warm windowsill of the community room so if all goes well these should begin to sprout by next week. Tom will keep an eye on them and make sure they are watered.
