Rainy Days at Angel Court

This weeks heavy rain meant that it was difficult for our friends at Angel Court to get out into the garden so the children went along to help.

They cleaned out the new hens, giving them fresh food, water and bedding. Miss Rowe put up some tarps to create a shelter so the young birds have a dry area during the winter months. It is important that the hens get used to being handled at this age so they are easier to manage and to catch.

The children also swept the paths clear of leaves and beech nuts so that they were safe to use, they weeded some of the flower beds. Then they stopped for tea and biscuits with the residents inside in the warm.
