Angel Court: Plants, Ponds and Precious Friends

The Jubilee Parterre continues at Angel Court. A parterre is usually a formal garden, created by arranging planting beds symmetrically and linking pathways with border hedges. The design for Angel Court will stimulate the senses, there will be fruits and vegetables that will need looking after and harvesting, a contemplative pond and of course some beautiful planting. We hope our design will create a space that the Angel Court residents can enjoy all year around, whether they are sitting inside looking out or they want to go outside and get involved. There is something for everyone.

Todays big task was getting the pond started. Miss Rowe and Dominic marked it and broke ground in the morning, then thankfully we were joined by plenty of willing helpers. It was a big job but working together we made a really good start. Whilst that was happening another group planted some beautiful flowering plants which will bring bursts of colour and texture but also encourage bees and butterflies.

On the way home the children were so proud and excited, “We are really giving them something special aren’t we Miss Rowe?” We most certainly are, another beautiful afternoon with friends.
