Dingle Dangle Scarecrow

This week in Reception, we have been reading lots of stories about scarecrows.  We read The Scarecrow’s Wedding, The Scarecrow’s Hat, The Scarecrow’s Secret and Tattybogle.  In literacy, we used our phonics to label the parts of a scarecrow.  As our seedlings are now almost ready to plant out, we prepared our vegetable patch and made our very own scarecrow to keep the birds away, although we are not sure that he will be very scary!  We also used our creative skills to make our own scarecrow puppets to take home.  We have also enjoyed pretending to be a scarecrow when singing Dingle Dangle scarecrow.
