Mother’s Day In Reception

This week in Reception we talked about Mothers’ Day and the important people who look after us. We read My Mum is Fantastic by Nick Butterworth and shared the things that make our mums or special people important to us.  The children used watercolours to explore colour mixing and painted spring flowers for their cards.  Inside the cards, they drew pictures of their mums or special people and wrote their own messages. They were pleased to show how their writing is developing. It was a lovely way to think about the people who help and care for us.

Article 29: Education should help children develop their personalities, talents, and abilities.
