Letter to Santa

This week, Reception has been full of festive fun! After reading the story Santa Post, the children were inspired to write their own letters. We practised using our phonics to write down our ideas as independently as possible. As part of our learning, we also discovered what happens to a letter once it leaves our hands. We talked about the journey it takes, from being collected from the postbox, to travelling through sorting offices, and finally arriving at its destination. The children were fascinated to learn how many people help to deliver just one letter! To complete our learning experience, we wrapped up warmly and walked together to the postbox outside school. Each child had the chance to post their own letter.  Now we are eagerly waiting to see if Santa replies! Later that day, we enjoyed a delicious Christmas Dinner prepared by our school cooks.

Article 29:  We have the right to develop our personalities, talents, and abilities to the full.
