The new year has started brilliantly for Harlow Green’s reading stars in KS2. All of the children have taken a Star Reader test in Accelerated Reader to get a new reading range and they have all been able to select from the new books in the scheme. The children have also continued to use Reading Plus in their guided reading time and it is fantastic to see how many have now read 50,000 100,000 or 150,000 words. As always, your support is vital in ensuring the children read and helping them to really see the benefit of reading for pleasure.
This week’s reading stars:
Accelerated Reader: Class 3a with a score of 86.5%
Reading Plus: Class 5a with a score of 79%
Hopefully, we will see more classes achieving above 80% in the next weeks.
