Year 2 thoroughly enjoyed celebrating World Book Day! We shared lots of stories including Stickman and Aliens Love Underpants.
The children showed off their wonderful costumes and which book they were from. They designed the front cover for the World’s greatest book (including all the things they like to read about on their covers).
In the afternoon, the children made their very own Stickman using a variety of materials. Then Year 6 joined us to share some of their favourite stories with Year 2. We were so impressed with how responsible the Year 6s were and how well behaved and enthusiastic the Year 2s were.
We had a wonderful day celebrating reading and the joy books can bring. We hope this enthusiasm for reading continues at home!
