Angel of the North Glass Workshop

Year 4 had an exciting and creative experience this week as they took part in a special glass workshop inspired by the iconic Angel of the North. The children explored how art can be created using different materials and were introduced to the fascinating process of working with glass.

During the workshop, the pupils learned about the famous sculpture and discussed its design and structure. They then had the opportunity to design and create their own glass artwork, carefully selecting colours and shapes to reflect their ideas. With guidance, they experimented with arranging pieces of glass to form their own interpretations of the Angel of the North.

The session encouraged creativity and attention to detail, as the children discovered how delicate materials can be transformed into something beautiful. They are so excited to see how their designs will look once the glass has been fused together.

All of the children showed fantastic enthusiasm and creativity throughout the workshop, and they should be very proud of their unique pieces of art. We are looking forward to sharing the finished creations with families soon!
