Angel Court: Garden Planning

The Angel Court garden plan begins to come together. Residents and the children got some inspiration from gardening magazines, they looked for the types of plants that they liked. Then discussed with Dom and Tom if those plants could grow successfully here in the North East. They planned put where to position plants to give them the best chance to flourish. They worked together to create boards to explain their ideas. Dom will take these away and work them into a draft plan for the children and residents to sign off on before planting begins.

We established to Jubilee Garden in 2022, but since then the care home has been having some major renovations carried out. This work has meant that many plants have been moved or destroyed along the way. The hen house had to be moved and access to the garden has been restricted. The scaffolding should be gone by Easter so we can’t wait to get out there and create a beautiful space for the residents to enjoy.
