Children in Need

Today, the children of Harlow Green took part in a non-uniform day to raise money for Children in Need.

It was amazing to see the variety of colourful costumes that the children were wearing in exchange for the kind donations that were given.

During P.E. sessions this week, each class were challenged to take part in the ‘Burpees’ challenge inspired by fitness star Joe Wicks.  Each school phase was challenged to collectively complete 1000 ‘Bearpees’ or more.  This morning, each year group joined in with the final challenge streamed live from the BBC website.

This afternoon, our Rights Respect officers met to count up the total amount of ‘Burpees’ completed and declare the winning phase.  They were pleased to announce that Year 3 and 4 were the winners completing an impressive 6186 ‘Burpees’.

Please look out for the total raised that will be announced next week.
