Peter’s Pebble

Pebbles Pebbles Pebbles

The children in the Nursery enjoyed collecting pebbles for their homework. When we came back to Nursery we explored the pebbles and discussed where we collected them from and used our senses to describe them.

We then read the story ‘Peters Pebbles’, which is a story about a little boy who painted pebbles, and when he put them in their natural habitat they’d turn to life. Together, we chose our own pebbles and discussed why we had chosen that specific pebble and what they were going to paint it. The children were very excited to see if their pebble was going to turn to life.
