Hearthside Tales

Today, Early Years and Key Stage One, were lucky enough to listen to a magical story performed by professional storyteller Chris Bostock. We heard the story, ‘The Tree Of Life’, which tells the story of Tiny Tortoise.  He had a wonderful dream of a tree that grew every kind of different fruit. Owl gave him the name of the tree, which must not be forgotten. On his journey he met other animals who try to help, but each one got distracted.  Tortoise eventually made it to the heart of the forest, but not without the help of the children of Harlow Green who joined in with singing and chanting and helped tortoise to remember the magic words.  It was so delightful to see the children listen so attentively to every word of this wonderful adventure.
