Mental Maths Battles!

This week, Year 6 have been doing a lot of number work. This has involved them using formal written methods and recapping how to use BODMAS to work out the order of calculations. On Friday, this was put to the test in a challenge with their partner, where they played mental maths ‘Four in a Row.’ There was some fierce competition, but what was most pleasing was to see the confidence with which the children were able to use a range of methods quickly and effectively.
