Well-Being Week in Reception

It has been lovely to see the children both at home and school enjoying lots of fun activities with a focus on well being this week.  After such a busy half term of learning it was great to be able to embrace this themed week and get in a relaxed frame of mind ready for half term.  The arrival of snow this week, certainly enhanced the element of having fun and keeping fit outdoors.  It was great to see children enjoying building snowmen, sledging and going on winter walks in this exciting weather.  Lots of activities focused on connecting with others both at home and with our friends and family that we cannot see at the moment.  The children enjoyed talking to each other over Teams meetings and sending pictures and messages to friends via Tapestry.  We also thought about the things that we enjoy doing and it was great to see children playing games with their families, cooking and just enjoying time together.  On Tuesday this week, it was also Safer Internet Day.  The children used Espresso to find out ways they can stay safe online and discussed the rules for staying safe with parents and teachers.  This week, we have also learnt about Valentine’s Day and Pancake Day which will be happening during half term.  The children made Valentine’s cards and biscuits for special family members and they tasted delicious pancakes.  It was such a busy but fun week! Take a look at the photos of some of our home and school learning.
