The Big Tidy Up

Year 2 took part in a big Forest school, tidy up today, in readiness for the gardeners to come in and cut the grass over the holidays. This is such an important element to our Forest School ethos, enabling the children to take responsibility for their environment and to begin to understand how our usage can impact on the living things around us.

The children worked really hard and there was some healthy competition too.  They sorted all the materials and decided where would be the best place to store it.

Many hands make light work so we had time for some balancing play and a pit stop to see the hens before home time.

Principle 2: Forest School takes place in a woodland or natural wooded environment to support the development of a relationship between the learner and the natural world.

Article 31 – We all have the right to rest, relax  and play.
