Hindu temple visit

This week, year four visited the ISKON Hindu Temple in Newcastle, as part of their RE topic.

Our host explained and demonstrated many of the key beliefs of Hindus, and how they practice their faith. The children heard about the Gods and Goddesses, explored important artefacts, were told stories, listened to songs and joined in with some dancing. The children then learnt how to play a traditional drum, and enjoyed dressing up in traditional style costumes.

Our host made the learning very memorable, and the children had lots of fun.
