Advent Wreaths

All of the children in Year 2 are looking forward to Thursday 25th December.  They enjoyed finding out that Advent is a Christian tradition that symbolizes a passage of four weeks.  Everyone made their own wreaths with four candles which symbolize hope, peace, joy and love, with a final candle to celebrate the birth of Jesus.  Later, staff shared how, on the four Sundays leading up to Christmas day, a candle is lit and that the circular shape of the wreath is a symbol of God’s never-ending love.   Well done!
