Sculpting

Year 6 have been enjoying work on 3D art. They studied the work of Henry Moore and Giacometti and were surprised by the simplicity of the names like ‘Reclining Figure’ and ‘Pointing Man.’ They had expected them to be far more artistic and flamboyant. They looked carefully at the different styles and then designed their own sculptures to fit a sporting them as were have been talking in school about the Women’s euros and the Commonwealth Games. After this, they were able to use clay to create one sculpture and paper and foil to create the other.
