What a jam-packed day! From waking up at 7am until going to bed at 10pm, the time has been filled with more activities, more eating, and even more fun.
On the first night, everyone managed to sleep well after finishing their conversations with friends which meant all the children were ready for the day ahead, once teachers had woken those who needed that extra nudge.
With everyone now having their bearings, the familiarity of the centre meant it was easier to navigate independently, which is another important part of the experience.
During the day, there were different challenges for the groups which tested each individual with some overcoming concerns about heights, some managing their feelings about mud, and others doing all they can to learn new skills in activities they had never tried before. What has been lovely to see throughout is the amount of support and encouragement children have given their classmates, especially when something has appeared tricky.
Once the activities were finished, spending time together on the evening, playing and chatting, was thoroughly enjoyed before heading back to dorms a little more tired than the previous day.
