After a bus ride across the border, and a stop for lunch at Gretna Green, Year 6 arrived at Lockerbie Manor for their adventure to really begin.
Before the activities began, there was the excitement of finding the dorm rooms which would be our homes from home for the next couple of days. Once beds were allocated and bags secured, the children were then able to thrown themselves into their activities.
From axe throwing and paddle boarding, to abseiling and rope courses, there was an array of sessions in which children were able to test themselves, get very wet and muddy, and simply have fun!
The lunch went down a treat with all the energy burned – lasagne or fish and chips was enjoyed by everyone.
Although there was some rain, compared to the forecast, it wasn’t as bad as we thought it would be with sunshine and showers.
Before bed, there was the chance for everyone to play together in the Games Room with cards, Uno, Rubik’s Cubes, and much more being shared.
Everyone is looking forward to full day tomorrow after what the teachers hope will be a restful night!
