Every child is an Artist

This week, continuing our learning about Minibeasts, we focused on snails and the patterns of their shells.

We looked at the artist Henri Matisse after reading the story ‘snail trail’ in topic time. His painting, ‘The Snail’,  was created using a collage effect which Nursery were keen to have a go at in our creative area.  The children enjoyed using squared pieces of tissue paper to practice the skill of gluing onto the page to stick our shapes down and prevent them from falling off. We created some wonderful pictures that we are very proud of.
