Gardening Club

The Outdoor Workers have been working hard in gardening club. Over the last few weeks they have cleaned and refilled the hen feeders, drinkers and cleaned out the henhouse. They’ve laid new paving stones between the raised beds with Bob and started clearing the beds ready for re-planting. They are making the most of the lighter evenings. Over the next few weeks they will start planning our planting schedule and preparing the poly tunnel. Then we need to tackle our ponds. Up until 4 years ago we have frogs and toads every year but nothing since. We don’t doubt there are a few lurking about but there have been none in visible numbers and no spawn in recent years.

The Nature Principle: Forest School takes place in a woodland or natural wooded environment to support the development of a relationship between the learner and the natural world.

Article 3: Everyone who works with children should always do what’s best for the child.
