Our Farmyard Adventures Continue!

Following our exciting trip to Hall Hill Farm last week, the children in Reception have continued exploring the topic of farms in the classroom. We’ve been learning the names of different baby animals and talking about where they live on the farm. In literacy, we have enjoyed reading What the Ladybird Heard by Julia Donaldson. The children created their own colourful maps of the farmyard from the story and labelled where the animals were. We have also been busy painting our favourite farm animals and scenes, using lots of different colours and techniques. As part of our writing, the children worked hard to write simple recounts of our farm visit, using their phonics to help spell the words. We are so proud of all the fantastic work they have produced!
