Wonderful Weaving

In our Art topic this term, the children in Year 3 have been learning about the artist Julia Lidell. She is a textile artist who produces woven designs. They commented on her designs and identified how her work made them feel.

In order to replicate her artistic style, the boys and girls designed a flag to create using weaving.

Before completing their final design, the children made a cardboard loom and added the warp strings to it.

When creating their final designs, they were able to follow an over and under woven pattern to create their flags. The boys and girls were very proud of their finished work.
