The Gruffalo

This weeek in Reception, the children enjoyed listening to the story of ‘The Gruuffalo’ by Julia Donaldson.  The children enjoyed describing the Gruffalo and using his description to make some clay models of him.  The children descovered that the clay is much harder to manipulate than playdough but can be used to make much more detailed models.  Next week the children are going to contine to use the clay to make their own sculptures instead of dough in our dough area.  Take a look at some of the marvelous Gruffalos that we created.
