Amazing Angel

This week, for the Angel of the North’s 25^th birthday, we have taken part in creative activities to celebrate this special occasion.

We created a kenning poem based on the Angel. We started by listing the different things the Angel reminds us of and what is means to us. When then turned these into noun phrases and as a class worked on developing our ideas into a class poem.

We have also created art work, based on the Angel, using our batik skills we learnt in the Autumn term. The children thoroughly enjoyed getting the chance to practise these skills once more and they all created lovely pieces of art that was be put together in a whole school display.
