Lest We Forget

“At the going down of the sun and in the morning… We will remember them”

Remembrance honours those who serve to defend our democratic freedoms and ways of life. In 2021 we are celebrating 100 years since the nation’s collective Remembrance traditions were first brought together.

To mark Armistice Day this year, the children have had  class assemblies about Remembrance and the significance of the poppy. Each year group has created their own poppy themed pictures using different forms of media. The photos below are just a small selection of what the children created to commemorate Remembrance Day today.

On the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month – Harlow Green will remember them.

Article 31 – We all have the right to take part in cultural and creative activities. 

Article 38 – We all have the right to be protected from war and violence.
