From Monday 8th June, there will be some changes to Home Learning which will coincide with the delivery by teachers in the classroom. This will support consistency between children in school and those accessing learning from home.
The structure will be as follows:
English
- A week of English/Literacy based on a short text – this will including reading, grammar and writing activities
- Reading comprehension practice through Reading Plus (Y3-Y6)
- Spelling, phonics and comprehension through Lexia (Y1-Y2)
- Phonics (Reception- Y1)
Maths
- A week of maths based on one topic – activities set on Mathletics but with some potential support material
Topic
A new topic has been created for all year groups called ‘Our Community’ (click on image below to download the plan alongside the Appendices in the link) which, like our last topic, has a range of activities you can choose from across different subjects.
Children from across year groups can partake in the same activities making this easier to manage at home. Teachers will take activities from this plan to use over the weeks when teaching children who are accessing school.
