Recycling madness

This week Nursery have been learning the importance of recycling to save our sea animals.

We have been looking at a mini topic of the seaside and talked about how much rubbish we sea at the beach when visiting. We read a story called ‘The Messy Magpie’ which shows us how all the rubbish we leave in nature can end up in our waterways and harm animals, most of the waste is recyclable. We were all so shocked by this and we decided to look into how we can recycle and reuse things in our everyday life. We talked about our rubbish bins at home and what the green and blue ones are for. Miss Nelson had collected some rubbish form around Nursery and we needed to sort it into food waste or recycling. We did a super job becoming waste collectors in our classroom.
