‘Table’ Tag Rugby!

In PE this half term, the children having been enjoying their first chance to play tag rugby.

We have been building up skills, from how to hold, throw and catch the ball, to passing backwards and being able to run with the ball.  This week we introduced tags and played some games of giant ‘table rugby’ with the children having to get past attackers who had to stay on the line whilst trying to remove the tags of the opposition.

We have been so impressed at the improvements in their throwing and catching, and the children’s confidence around handling and moving with the ball.  They had a great time.
