Our Stone Age topic rumbled along this week, when in DT, the children got the chance to make an apple and pear or apple and raspberry crumble, cooking fruits like the Stone Age nomads used to do (with a modern twist)!
After a conversation about health and safety and being careful around the knives, peelers and air fryers, in groups, the children peeled, sliced, chopped, combined, crumbed and stirred their crumble creations and then got to enjoy them with a variety of toppings.
Everyone tried something, and we were really impressed at the care and attention they took using knives and when handling the hot pans around the air fryers. Hopefully some will be inspired to try it at home (with adult supervision).
