This half term, Reception have been enjoying weekly workshops led by Gateshead School Music Service. We have taken part in two sessions so far, where we have been learning new songs linked to our topic journeys and also songs about the snow. The children have been developing their musical skills by learning how to keep a steady beat using body percussion and a range of instruments, and have loved singing along to the ukulele. They have also been confidently joining in with repeated refrains, showing great enthusiasm and growing confidence as they make music together.
