As we come towards the end of our first block of work for the Sports England project it is really easy to see looking back through the photos the positive effects of the sessions. The confidence the residents now have in their own capabilities has really increased as has their range of movement. They are attempting activities to a level that they would not have thought possible back in September. Through patience and understanding Jo, the teacher, has drawn out some of the residents who would normally only watch activities rather than get involved.
The music choices have really helped too. We always begin with Dean Martin and Sway, it’s almost impossible not to move to and helps get everyone warmed up. Elvis is always popular and this week the children chose some old style Christmas songs too.
Article 6: We all have the right to be alive and develop in the best possible way.
