On Monday we launched our new English text – Dear Dinosaur.
When the pupils arrived at school they discovered that they had received a mysterious letter and a mysterious parcel. Everyone was so excited to open it and once the letter was opened, it revealed that it was from T-Rex, one of the main characters from the story. T-Rex lives in a big museum and he asked all of the children to make a fossil to be exhibited alongside him. All of the children enjoyed making their own fossil out of clay . They chose their favourite dinosaur and pressed it firmly into the clay to make an imprint. It was so messy and everyone was amazed with the results. After all of the fossils were made we opened our mysterious package and discovered that it was a copy of the book. We have thoroughly loved reading it all week and can’t wait to write back to the T-Rex.
