This week, year 4 launched their new reading text in dramatic style! The children will be studying Greek myths, which links to their History topic about Ancient Greece. They watched an animation of the story of Perseus and Medusa, and discussed the common features of myths, such as their heroes, villains, mythical creatures Gods and Goddesses, and dangerous quests. In groups, they chose individual roles, made masks and props, and created dialogue and actions for their characters. They then performed the story in two parts in front of the class. We saw some excellent acting skills and some very dramatic death scenes by Medusa!
