Juggling, Balancing and Relaxation

As part of a Sports England Project we are working with our friends, the residents of Angel Court, in physical workshops. These incorporate strength building and movement to increase flexibility, balance, confidence and social connections for health and wellbeing. We have seen firsthand the impact that grief and long-term health conditions can have on people’s physical mobility and their willingness to want to come down to the lounge and join others. But equally we know the difference taking part in regular, meaningful workshops can have in encouraging people back to a social activity. The children are so happy to support the group to help them to engage in accessible movement and physical activities together, sharing ideas and having a sense of working fun.

This week they continue to practice their juggling skills, then worked on balance using the balls and feathers, with some nice relaxing massage to finish off. One of our team is becoming quite the expert.
