Celebrating Passover and Pentecost

In the build-up to Easter, Year 6 have been finding out about the Jewish celebration of Passover and the Christian celebration of Pentecost. An understanding of the beliefs of others, and a recognition that children have a right to follow their own religion is a core right of all children in the UN Convention of the Rights of the Child.

The children enjoyed creating a fact file about the life of Moses and how the plagues – although they were definitely a bit concerned about the impact of a plague of boils. they then thought about the Holy Spirit and why this plays such a key role in Christianity.
