Reception have been exploring the jungle in PE and developing their ability to move in a range of ways.
We have been moving around the hall on a range of apparatus, acting as different animals you would find in the jungle, such as lions, snakes, monkeys and tigers. We began by thinking about how the different animals would move and which animals would climb, jump, crawl or slither. Carefully using the apparatus, we pretended they were something you would find in the jungle and explored how to get on and off of things, through things, under and over things, as well as going round them.
The children thoroughly enjoyed taking part in gymnastics and have developed a range of motor skills such as climbing and balancing. Take a look at our photos below
