Plastic Pollution!

This week in Year One, in our science lessons,  we have been learning all about sea pollution and the growing global problem our marine life is faced with.

The children have watched a number of different Espresso video clips which have explained how much rubbish is in the sea, the dangers it poses for wildlife and what we can all do to help. We have also read a story about the journey of plastic into our oceans  to support our learning.

The children have enjoyed making their own plastic pollution awareness poster, recognising and colouring in the recycling symbol and they have also discussed how to sort recycling  into the correct bins. They particularly enjoyed playing a recycling game on Espresso. We have enjoyed learning all about how we can keep our marine life safe and are excited to share with everyone the importance of recycling!
