Beastly Book Launch

This week, Year Two followed instructions to make a mask as part of their book launch. They had to try to work out which character their mask might be and use this to try to predict what their book was for this half term.

First, the children had to cover a paper plate with brown paper. Next, they coloured in and cut out the eyes, nose, teeth and even some horns! These were then added to the masks. Once they had created their masks, it was time to guess who the character might be. The children had lots of different guesses and many of them thought it could be the Gruffalo. They found out however that their mask was in fact a beast. The children were very excited to start reading their new book,  ‘Beauty and the Beast’. Have a look at their amazing creations below!
