Sculpting

Year 6 have been very busy over the last week with lots of preparations being made for their Leaver’s Show. In-between this, they have been doing some art work where they have been looking at the sculptors Henry Moore and Giacometti and the work they produced. The children enjoyed giving names to the sculptures before realising that they were very literal names. The best part of the week was when they produced their own sculpture in the style of Henry Moore based upon a person trapped in the eruption of Mount Vesuvius at Pompeii.
