Sports Day Success!

The biggest win of the day was against the weather, with Harlow Green coming out as champions!  After the problems of the previous day, we were basked in warm sunshine which allowed the children, from across KS1 and KS2, the opportunity to take part in a wider variety of sports events.

Thanks to the hard work of the staff in organising and preparing, the children competed in athletic events, traditional races, football and netball shooting.  Although trying hard individually, the children competed as teams to collect points overall, just like would happen in the Olympics.

It was fantastic to see the determination and joy on the children’s faces as they tried their hardest.  It was also lovely to see how they cheered each other on, especially if someone had fallen or was needing further encouragement.  The winning team will be announced once the scores have been totalled up.

We would like to thank all the families who were able to come along for their support for all the children who were involved today.  It is greatly appreciated by the children who love being able to see adults who want them to do well.
