Gorgeous Greek Pots

In Year 4 , we have learning about the Ancient Greeks. In Art, we have studied the art work of artist Louise Rose Goodman, who creates pottery. The children looked at her coil pots and also looked at Ancient Greek pots and realised the similarities between them. They then used some clay to create coils which they layered on top of each other to create a pot. Once they had dried, the children were inspired by the Greek designs to paint their pots using black and orange (and some added a bit of yellow!). Next week, the children will varnish the pots and then will be able to bring them home.
