In Art this week we’ve been looking at how collage can be used to create quite abstract images of ourselves, whilst our brains can still decipher and understand complex images and make sense of what is sees. We have looked at work by the artist Deborah Roberts and how she mixes different mediums to create collages. Her images often look straight forward at first but on closer inspection, we found all sorts of little features that made them really unique.
We started with sketching and then progressed on to using images of ourselves cut up and recreated as a collage of our own faces, mixing colour and black and white.
