World Book Day 2023

Well – what a fun day that was! World Book Day 2023 was on Thursday 2nd March and the focus throughout school was on enjoying poetry. The children were visited by the poet Rowan McCabe who helped to inspire an interest in performing and writing poems. Over the day, all of the children wrote their own poem, performed for an audience, produced some are work based upon a poem and shared a book with their class, or by reading to others. It is lovely to celebrate such events in school and see a real interest in reading for pleasure developing.
