Performing Poems

Our focus this year on World Book Day was ‘Enjoying Poetry.’ We were lucky enough to be visited by the poet Rowan McCabe (see separate post) who performed some of his poems for us. This gave us the opportunity to see what makes a good performance and how clarity and speaking slowly are hugely important.
Each class then worked on their own poem to perform – which the children thoroughly enjoyed. Click on the videos to hear their fantastic recitals.
