We’re going on a spring hunt…

Everyone is so happy that spring is finally here. This week Year One took the opportunity in a science lesson to find signs of spring outside. First of all, we noticed that the weather is becoming warmer and the sun is shining for longer during the day. Then the children discovered that new buds are sprouting on trees and spring flowers such as daffodils are growing. Some found worm holes on the field and found minibeasts under rocks and around trees. We were even excited to spot a bumblebee buzzing around a tree in blossom. During a quiet moment the children listened out for spring birds singing. Can you go on a spring hunt at home?
